STAGE 2
At this station the monocouqe is dressed up with electrical cables, climate control, batteries, steering colums and computer control units.

Here the engine, gearbox and front subframe is fitted to the chassis. These parts has been part assembled on substations next to the production line. Before fitting, the engine is Dynotested in a special cleanroom for engine building and testing.

STAGE 4
This is where the body comes in from the paint shop ready for fitment. It is a great benefit that all the painted parts come in this late in the process as this means less risk for any damage or scratches to the surface. As they have already been dryfitted on station 2 the panels fit to the car is perfect.

This is where all the interior and final body is fitted to the car. As mentioned before, we always fit the body as late as possible in the process.

At this stage we test drive the car and make the necessary adjustments to the wheel alignment.
All cars are testdriven and checked before delivery. The wheels are aligned and the car is corner weighted first when it rolls of the line and then before PDI.

스웨덴의 한 젊은이에 의해 시작된 코닉세그 프로젝트는 ‘꿈은 이루어진다’는 진리를 보여주는 대표 사례이다. 수퍼카 제작의 꿈을 갖고 있던 크리스티앙 본 코닉세그는 자기 집 주차장에서 스페이스 프레임과 아우디 V8 엔진을 결합한 프로토타입을 완성했다. 스웨덴의 로드스터 스페셜리스트 스벤하크 아케슨의 세테라 팔콘 프로젝트를 사들인 코닉세그가(家)는 96년 코닉세그사를 설립하고 이듬해 칸 영화제를 통해 첫 작품을 소개한다. 모토르모데르니의 12기통 550마력 엔진을 얹은 이 모델은 오랜 개량작업을 거쳐 지난 2000년 CC V8로 모습을 드러냈고, 최종 양산형은 CC 8S라는 이름을 얻었다. 예테보리의 볼보 윈드 터널에서 다듬은 보디라인에 탈착식 하드톱을 얹은 CC 8S는 밖으로 밀려나온 뒤 90° 회전하는 독특한 방식(Dihedral Synchro-Helix Door Actuation)의 도어가 시선을 끈다. 엔진은 양산을 고려해 포드의 V8 4.6X DOHC를 선택하고 수퍼차저 튜닝으로 655마력의 최고출력을 얻었다. 76.5kg·m의 최대토크는 콰이프의 6단 세미 AT를 통해 뒷바퀴로 전달된다. 코닉세그의 목표는 맥라렌 F1. 1998년 앤디 월레스가 맥라렌 F1을 타고 기록한 386.6km의 양산차 최고시속 기록을 넘어서기 위해 설계 목표치를 시속 390km로 잡았다. 2001년부터 본격 판매를 시작했다.
